Classic Christmas Decor Inspiration

Ooh the weather outside is - well, not quite frightful yet, but it is getting colder and the first frost is approaching, so you know what that means - the Christmas season is almost upon us! It seems to arrive earlier and earlier every year, and so does all of the beautiful new holiday decor! While you may not be quite ready to deck the halls yet, I have rounded up some of my favorite pieces that will be sure to make your home look a little more festive inside and out!

Christmas Front Porch Decor

My favorite place to start when decorating for any holiday is my front porch! It's the first thing people see when they come to your home, and I love for it to be inviting. I love the rustic and outdoorsy appearance of these choices because it gives that holiday feel without looking like Christmas exploded everywhere. I also love the subtle look of the lights in the presents and rattan trees. They are sure to make your front porch look welcoming.

I love to keep a similar style going throughout my entire house, so I found options that pair perfectly with the porch decor! The garland and wreath continue to give that rustic outdoor feel, and the stockings add the perfect finishing touch with the plaid design. I decided on black and gold accents as well, and love the look of the mercury glass paired with the matte black on the reindeer and Christmas village.

Christmas tree decor

Now for my favorite part - the tree! I love pulling everything together with a tree that complements everything else I've done in the house. I've chosen black and gold for this year's tree because it brings such a warm touch to the centerpiece of the house. I've kept it fairly simple with black and gold ball ornaments while incorporating more elegant touches of gold snowflakes, reindeer, and botanical pieces. The paper finial ornaments also pull in those woodsy touches of our garland and outdoor pieces. My favorite part is the gorgeous mercury glass tree topper that perfectly complements our other decor choices. Add some ribbon and you've got the perfect centerpiece to your home this Christmas season!

No matter how you choose to style your home this year, I hope you’re able to find some inspiration and get into the Christmas spirit! Be sure to follow my Like To Know It for more decor and inspiration this holiday season!
